Golden Square Walking Tour

On this walk, we’ll travel from old Alma-Ata quarters to the avenues of modern Almaty — exploring their history and architecture.

Licensed tour operator

In 2.5 hours, you’ll learn about the city’s history and architecture and discover that Golden Square’s architecture is a wild mix of modernism, constructivism, empire style, and eclecticism.

Along the way, we’ll see the houses where Mukhtar Auezov, Galina Ulanova, Tleu Basenov, Baurzhan Momyshuly, Konstantin Paustovsky, Sergei Kalmykov, and Gulfairuz Ismailova lived and worked.

We’d love to show you the city from a different angle on our one-of-a-kind tour with an experienced art historian.
